SUMMARY OF WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE PUPS WILL BE POSTED WEEKLY!
(Click on the PHOTOS below to download a video of the pups)

Newborns: Anni whelped 11 pups on 12/28/2010. We lost one female pup, but we have 10 heathy, gorgeous puppies. Six males and four females. See puppy photos below!

Puppy Update - Week 1: The pups are one week old now, and doing GREAT! All the pups have hardy appetites and are growing quickly. Anni is an excellent Mom and her milk supply is excellent. Check out this week's photos below.

Puppy Update - Week 2: During this period, the pups opened their eyes and begin to hear. They are still spending most of their time either EATTING or SLEEPING, but they now wake up when I come in and start talking to them, and they scooter over to me. One male loves to roll on his back and let me rub his tummy, he is going to be something. Next week, you will see quite a bit of change in the pups. … but for now, here is photo/video..

Puppy Update - Week 3: During this period, the pups opened their eyes and begin to hear. They are still spending most of their time either EATTING or SLEEPING, but they now wake up when I come in and start talking to them, and they scooter over to me. One male loves to roll on his back and let me rub his tummy, he is going to be something. Next week, you will see quite a bit of change in the pups. … but for now.

Puppy Update - Week 4: At four weeks old, the pups have gotten so big that Mom nurses them in a standup position. And since the babies now have little razor sharp teeth, in just a matter of a couple of days … Anni seems to have made the “executive” decision that it’s WEANING TIME! So, Memee has kicked into “full Grandma mode” and is now feeding the babies three meals a day, with some dry crumbles in between time. This weeks photos will take you from the pups resting quietly by Mom to all ten hungry monsters attacking the food bowl! These babies are really getting some cute personalities now, and I am enjoying watching them play and learn to wrestle. Next worming – Saturday. Puppy collars are on their way, so next week’s photos will be more fun.

Puppy Update – Week 5: On February 1, 2011, our V litter turned 5 weeks old! They are doing well and growing, the pups are very playful and love to eat! They are very attentive and all 10 pups love interaction with people. Here are 5 week old photos.

Puppy Update – Week 6: The Orumhaus V Litter (Anni & Baster pups) will turn 6 weeks old on 2/8/11. The pups are growing like little weeds and eatting well… well I should say like, “PIRANHAS” … everything in site. Today, the pups received their first set of puppy shots and everyone did well. We had beautiful weather today, with temperatures up to 70, so the pups got to stay in their playpen today. Below are photos taken on Friday, 2/4/2011.

Puppy Update – Week 7: Thank goodness the Arctic blasts have stopped, and Texas weather has resumed! Normally my pups begin learning the doggy door at 5 weeks, but with the extreme cold temperatures and ice, I delayed that. But on Saturday, 2/12/11, it was a beautiful day, and we moved out the whelping pen and setup the playpens … indoor & out. Within a couple of hours, the pups was having a great time running in and out, barking at each other and attacking toys and munching on baby carrots. And the new water bucket became an instant hit … which I will leave that to your imagination :)

I wormed the pups again on 2/12/11, and gave another toenail trim. The next set of puppy shots will be on Friday, 2/18/11. Pups will begin to go to their new homes on Saturday, 2/19/11. In the meantime, below are photos of the first day of freedom and the discovery of the doggy door.

Puppy Update – Week 8: You guys and gals will be 8 weeks old on Tuesday, 2/22/11! You all have been very happy and healthy puppies and a well rounded group. As my grandpups, I have tried to place you all in loving and forever homes with humans that will love and care for you, and train you to be an excellent example of the GERMAN SHEPHERD breed. Now, by beloved pups … it is up to you to grow, develop and learn everything you can to reach your fullest potential in life.

New Puppy Owners: I have provided each of you with a lot of information about the care your new puppy needs. Please remember to keep me informed as to the development of your puppy, and if you have questions that come up, don’t hesitate to email me, and I will strive to help you to the best of my ability. Also, don’t forget to send me updates and photos … I need puppy feedback … that is the only way I know I am meeting my breeding goals, is through your feedback.
